AI security company Cyber Defencely recruits Ritva Rantala, former CISO at Transdev and the Swedish Customs, as its new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). This autumn, the company will launch an AI-powered tool designed to assess organizations’ information security ahead of the new Cybersecurity Act coming into force in January. With AI-supported expert teams, efficient processes, and a clear delivery model, Cyber Defencely provides fast and measurable results. The company aims to reach a turnover of SEK 200 million by 2030.

– Cyber Defencely is entering a period of rapid growth where we must ensure the highest level of expertise and quality for our clients. We are therefore delighted to welcome Ritva Rantala as Chief Strategy Officer. With her experience in strategic management, product development, and security across both critical private and public sector operations, she is exactly the right person to further develop our AI tools and ensure we deliver the right capabilities to the right clients over time, says Daniel Reinholdsson, CEO of Cyber Defencel

Ritva Rantala holds a degree in Information Systems and has extensive experience from international telecom R&D projects, as well as a background in leadership roles — from project management to executive positions — at companies such as Ericsson and Tieto. She later served as Project Manager and CISO at the Swedish Customs and as CISO at the transport giant Transdev, which she is now leaving. Information security is a strong personal interest for her; alongside her professional career, Ritva has deepened her expertise in cybersecurity through studies at the master’s level.

– Organizations today often look for a silver bullet — a simple solution that will keep them secure. But such a thing doesn’t exist. Information security is about combining security measures, governance, people, and processes in the right proportions — that’s the path forward. This kind of delivery has traditionally been a craft — selling hours. But with Cyber Defencely’s quality-assured processes and team-based deliveries supported by AI security tools, we sell capability — a capability that every organization now needs, says Ritva Rantala, CSO at Cyber Defencely.

Cyber Defencely’s strength lies in its delivery model, where experienced, cross-functional teams — supported by AI — can quickly drive change within client organizations, with clear accountability, proven methodologies, and a focus on measurable results rather than billable hours. The company is currently developing an AI tool that enables organizations to evaluate their information security. The launch is planned for this autumn, and a beta testing program is now open via cyberdefencely.com.

Behind Cyber Defencely are, among others, cybersecurity expert and serial entrepreneur Emanuel Lipschütz, and cybersecurity expert Daniel Reinholdsson.
